Hey I know some of you are from vital bmx, my names originalstyle. well anyways i ride a raptor 660cc quad and i want to get a dirtbike. I kno 4stroke=trails and 2stroke is more track. I m looking in to getting a rm 250 2001 (the price is right). Im not sure if i should get it because it may be too much power for me, but then again i might be able to handle it because i ride a 660. i plan to ride trails but my buddies who race say that i will fall in love with the track. wut do you recommend i do. im 6ft 150lbs and have average skills on a dirtbike but never owned one. oh and i kick ass on a bmx bike.

haha y are ppl callin me fatass im a tall skinny white kid haha. uhh yeah my question is should i get a rm 250 2001 and grow into it or just wait. I been waiting for ever and i figure i can handle the 2stroke, but i need a riders opinion

hey dude,welcome to the site. first of all,why dont you save some cash and find a newer 2 fiddy 2 stroke? just seek and you shall find. the yamies,hondas,zooks and kawies are all good 2 strokes. i think the 01 rm would cost you a arm and a leg to fix up.and its probably beat to death. and by the way, i kick ass on a drumset !!!!!!!!

why dont you try and sell your quad yourself,and then take the cash and buy a newer bike? or take the cash and put a down payment on a newer bike and finance the rest of it?

The '01 RM is a nice bike.

I'm still riding my '02, because of the sticker.

Cheap and easy to maintain, as well.

Get rid of the quad unless you want to grow boobies. Seems like the bigger the cc's the easier it is to ride (Trails that is). Two or four. If your a decent rider you can handle a 250 two stroke.

hey hello,these guys are only busting your ballz. its all in good fun. so, dont take it the wrong way. heck,im still a newb.when i came aboard,i stocked up on neosporin and bandaids,cause i figure i was going to get a good beating. if you want to trade your quad,go ahead and do so. ride the bike first to make sure its ok. and like terryk said,welcome to the jungle.!!!!!!!
