MSR gear sizing?

Usually I wear a 34 in regular pants and a 36 in MX pants. I got some MSR Axxis gear from my mom for Christmas, size 38 pants. The damn things look like they are around size 32-33. My dad wears a 32 and he can't get them on.

Does MSR gear normally run this small? I really thought they sent me the wrong size, but I checked the tags and they are supposed to be 38's. I guess I'll get my mom to send them back and get some 42's.

my son just tried his new gear on. the NXT and Max Air were 32's and fit him perfect. the Axxis were also 32's and were slightly tight on him. I'm assuming they may make them a little tighter as there is really no way to adjust the waist as there is on the other styles. there is an elastic band but no way to adjust it, the NXT and Max Air have a velcro adjustment.

My waist measures an honest 35". I wear 36 jeans and they are usually slightly loose and I need a belt. I have about 10 pairs of MSR pants, NXT, Axxis, etc. in size 36 and they all fit exactly the same as my 36 jeans.

Sounds as though your pants could have been mislabeled.

hi,
i'm going to buy a MSR max air 2012 into us on.line shop
i live in italy and needed help to choice size of combos.
for pants i wear size 34 of fox 180 check 2011
and jersey large always fox 180 with chest protector out.
i'm tall 6,4 ft and 200 lb.
What sizes do you recommend to buy?
