That's a real track compared to the Mini O's sx track my kid rode this weekend.

For those that might not know, mxprofessor is Gary Bailey. It seems from watching the vid that he has an interest in Cooper Webb. I wonder if he's been training him.

After browsing his channel, I saw this vid concerning bike setup. He doesn't have a lot of subscribers so give the guy something to smile about and subscribe!

He works with a bunch of guys, and is around all the time. Nothing new there.

I'm sure he does and is. Just thought that he could use a mention once in a while outside of the "insider" circle. Unless one happens to be "in" how does one know who he is working with?

I know for a fact that Cooper is one of his riders. At loretta's this year, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Gary and his wife who train cooper.

For those of you that do not know Cooper Webb he is a great kid. He goes to public school, takes advance classes, makes very good grades and still races all the nationals. His parents are middle class and struggle to keep him racing and have sacrificed for years to do so. Professor Gary Bailey has been coaching Cooper for about four or five years. Professor Bailey says Cooper has David Bailey's style and smarts and Travis Pastrana's determination (both of whom he coached at the same point in their careers) Professor Bailey is semi-retired now and only works with a few riders mostly teaching private lessons but is coaching Cooper as a fully sponsored rider up to the pro level because he believes in Cooper's talent and wants to give back to the sport. If you want to believe in a dream come true and a story or sacrifice and dedication, start following Cooper Webb (twitter @minicoop175)

Mxlaw don't get me wrong, Cooper seems like a great kid. But there are many riders and families out there that have sacrificed so much more to do this sport. He might not compare to AC with the PC deal already signed for five years, but you have to admit he is getting much more than most of those kids struggling in the amateurs who go to school and parents work too. Not putting him down but to say a dream come true and a story of sacrifice maybe over doing it. Don't forget all the help from JGR with mechanics and engines at all the races. Not every amateur rider has gotten that. Webb and AC are very lucky..

I agree with your point. I know Cooper is very very grateful for the help he gets. If I seemed over the top I did not mean to be insensitive. I just know that the Webbs sacrificed just like any other amateur family for many years for Cooper to race the number of races he has to achieve his success. I know just like other kids he goes to school, gets out and the family drives often times all night to get to first practice on time like everyone else because they have to work and cannot afford for Cooper to be home-schooled and live on the road racing full-time. I wish there was more amateur support for everyone because I would hate to see motocross become an elitist sport. It would be nice for those who have had success in motocross to give back more for the future of the sport.

KTM deal was for MEC only and Cooper was not under contract yet with KTM at MEC. He has a deal in the works but it is not public yet as final details are still being worked out. Not sure when he started getting help from JGR but know the whole crew there has been awesome to work with. Right now he is getting ready for mini-Os and should be on the new bike then.
