Buy the smallest you can, take it to your local sewing lady.

Probably best you can do for a kid that small.

The smallest chest protector I could find when my son started riding was by Fox. It was a mini youth or something like that. There weren't any boots, so hiking boots sufficed at first.

Except for helmets, most of the gear I've bought for him over the last 7 years has been used, and the best place has been KTMtalk. Boots seem to be needed about every 6 months, and they're usually $50-$80 shipped. You can then turn around and re-sell the pair he just grew out of for about what you paid.

Have fun!

Really good thinking. My daughter is 3 and I hope to get her riding in the next year. I can see me doing the same thing for gear.

yeah I was alittle iffie about it but I've taken him to races since he was 6 months @ SteelCity he has the love for bikes watchs Travis videos like cartoons. I have videos of him riding with training wheels of course on my face book I even built him a practice track above the house that he rides. Maybe someday he will take it all the way but as long as he enjoys it thats all that matters to me
