Freestone County Raceway is pleased to announce our Inaugural AMA Freestone Spring Championship Race Event held on the National Track in Wortham, Texas on March 9-14th, 2011.

This event is not a relocation of the Lake Whitney Spring Classic. As announced today the Whitney Spring Classic is moving to Millcreek MX in Alabama. This event at Freestone is a new promotion to be held at our Track in March of 2011

We are planning this event to keep in the tradition of two weeks of National Amateur racing in Texas as has been for the last 14 years. Our event will be held the week before the GNC Finals at Oakhill Raceway in Decatur, Texas.

This event will be for all caliber, age and experience riders with a class available for everyone. More details regarding our event will be in future press releases.

Nice job. Sad to see Whitney go after racing that track through the '80's. Things change....
Great facility for a new era and tradition.

One of the best (if not the best) facilities we have in Texas. Races are run like they are supposed to be! Great parking, wet or dry conditions, water, electricity, great concessions and everthing else a great track needs. Did I say "Organized" and on time!!!! Great announcers, and an owner family that "Lives" the sport!
Did I mention the Good old "Texas Hospitality"!!!

Trying to move the Spring Classic to Millcreek on the east coast and making it difficult if not impossible to make both Am nationals is a bad move IMHO...... The only advantage Millcreek has is the manufacture contingency money the top riders in their classes will chase..... Good move Mr. Miller.
