Youthstream TV stream improves to higher quality
FUNCHAL (PORTUGAL), 13 May 2010 – From the Grand Prix of Catalunya in Bellpuig set for this weekend, the live broadcast on Youthstream TV will be adopting a new streaming technology. The first benefit is the adaptive bit rate, a technology allowing a video player to automatically adjust the quality of the video to the available bandwidth of the viewer. The second benefit is http streaming allowing a small VCR function to rewind and watch the action during the LIVE stream.
This new technology has only been released in early 2010 and Youthstream TV is amongst the first major sports events to adopt it.
From two low quality streams for those with less than 1 Mbit/s Internet connection to a high quality stream for full screen viewing on the computer or a very high quality stream that allows full screen on a TV set, Youthstream is deploying this technology to ensure that watching MX LIVE on the Internet is only second to attending the events on-site.
