Corey went down hard Saturday night in Denver after a guy who shouldn't have been on the track caused Corey to go down extremely hard. I just wanted to see how the best goon rider was recovering and send some wishes his way.
Also, there was more than a couple incidents over the weekend that had me doubting the AMA's AX Lites class. It's a place for the local pros to show their stuff - but I don't think some of these local pros need to be on an arenacross track. There were a few kids this weekend who endangered themselves and others. The rider who took Green down nearly took down a few other series regulars prior to his goonoff which tackled Corey from his bike. There were two others in particular who were struggling to navigate the track in a straight line - rolling the whoops and struggling to double a pretty simple rhythm section causing a few pretty ugly crashes. These other two were never sent packing - something that used to happen to protect the guys who do belong out there.
Hopefully Corey will be healed and back at the track entertaining soon. RR had the crash on video and showed Corey before he left the track - I didn't see the video but the crash live was ugly and should have been prevented by black flagging a rider who didn't belong.
