Anybody know if there will be a press day practice at Thunder Valley? If so, is it open to public? Hours? Ticket required? And, any good golf courses close to track?

There is a press day. Not sure how/if you can get to it though.
It is a PRESS DAY, so I would assume you need some sort of press access.

Check out Fossil Trace, or Fox Hollow they are both close. Arrowhead is a little pricey but worth it to. Golf now app should have good deals on them

It has been raining here for about 3 weeks straight so the courses are in great shape...

I second Fossil Trace for an awesome round of golf complete with dinosaur tracks and fossils, etc. It is pretty much the nicest course I have ever played. Don't miss it!

The course was built on an old clay mine - and they found all the fossils and dino tracks while digging the soft clay for brick making. Back in the old days, this was a giant lake bed where the dinosaurs roamed. Then the Rocky Mountains were formed and it raised the ancient lake bed to expose the tracks and other fossils like ferns and sea shells.

Once all the clay was mined, only the sandstone columns remained, they left the mining equipment where it was and then built a golf course around it. Such a cool place...

I didn't bother to read through the comments so not sure if this has been said yet...but there are 2 different press days at nationals. The local press and the moto industry press day. The local press is open to just about anyone who bothers to show up. You can probably get in and check it out a little bit.

I did see the photos for Fossil Trace. That place is epic. When I lived in CO I played there quite a bit. It's only 5 minutes from the tack too. Arrowhead isn't much further and is just a good. If you use the golf now app you can probably get some rounds for $50 or less...

I hear colorado is getting shit loads of rain as well so if it stops the courses should be perfect.
