CTi2 fitting...

Question for anyone out there wearing the custom fit CTi2's. I just got off the phone with the local fitting place for my knee brace. I've got the prescription that specifies custom sports knee brace. I checked with the shop doing the fitting and she said they will measure me, but if I fall within the size range for an off the shelf, that's what I get. I even specified that the prescription says custom and I'm telling you I want it custom fitted. She didn't care and just said I will only get custom if my measurements are outside the "off the shelf" range. Has anyone else run into this?
Unfortunately, I couldn't get the doc to write a prescription for my other leg, so I guess I'll be sporting a CTi2 on one leg and an Asterisk on the other...

cbender684 The best advice I can give you is go to someone else who listens to you and as far as your doctor goes by trying to get brace's on both leg's your trying to prevent a injury and he wont approve of it. Tell him you've hurt both knee's and you want custom brace's for them. IF that doctor still says no go to some other doctor. By trying to keep from being injured by wearing braces on both legs is a no brainer and instead of being hassled you should be commended for trying to prevent a injury to your knee's.... I wear CTi2 knee braces and have custom braces. If you want custom, they can and should do it. They're getting paid. Call Ossur direct and talk to them. Tell them about your experience.
