I race mx but going to try my first hare scramble and there will be logs, do I approach it like a whoop and skim the top with my front wheel than lean back and bunny hop with the rear wheel so I don't endo. Can you just wheelie over it with the same technique.
They look really intimidating but I get the idea it would be harder if you go slow, than again I don't want to endo my brains out.
thanks for any tips

What race are you doing? 99% of off road races don't have log crossings, and if they do their should an alternate route. Find a down tree around the house and practice before you try it underpressure.
Its just a local hare scramble, not a major event, 3 20 minute laps, I want to try something less intense than mx, Im plus 40 now and enjoy trail riding so I thought I give it a try for the first time.
thanks for the advice!
How did it go? Did you find it less intense? It is a whole lot of different intense especially when you add water. Let us know how it goes...
Im also 40 and am having more fun off road than I did racing MX. You get more time on the bike. No gate fees and there isnt alot of down time waiting for motos. Great familys and the racers are super fun to bang bars with. No attitudes and we are all there to just ride and help each other out.
Good luck and keep us posted on how you did and how you liked it.
