Ok so even though this won't be a trick factory build bike build I hope I can catch some interest and you guys are cool with this being here. I picked up this 2003 110 for $80 shipped to my house about a month ago. I couldn't decide what way I wanted to go. 1. Flip it and sell it. 2. Dad cruiser to chase my little one around if he wants to ride. 3. Full blown pitbike. Well I've decided on a mix of option 2 and 3! So sit back crack a cold one, turn up the metal tunes and enjoy!

I got her on the lift for a tear down and inspection and wow! Here's the list so far...
I got the engine out and I'll be starting there. The spark plug was held-coiled in, and as far as I can tell all the parts are still from the day it was built! I was on babysitting duty too so we took the time for some quality engine teardown and learning time!

You can also throw 04-11(I believe are the years) ktm65 (marzocchi 110 forks, same thing) forks on with basically the same mods and issues as Kx forks.
Good buy for $80 though. Stock head should ne pretty easy to find if ur going with a replacement. If not I'd check out tb parts head. Similar to Takegawa roller rocker head. But you'll need a new piston for bigger valved head.
Looks like a fun project you have ahead of you.
The centrifugal clutch hub that's in those early motors was not the greatest, it would be best to update to a 1 piece unit as seen in 05+ models, and if you are going any bigger CC wise, or plan to later, and 08+ output shaft is always a good idea.

For suspension, a lot of guys are running (1) stiff spring and 1 stock one to give it a little more plushness vs all resistance that comes with both springs in. For the rear shock the china DNM is not a bad option, elka if you have the budget or a Works or Race tech is middle of the road.
I restored these 2 over the summer to sell them, the hardest part was the guy that came and bought the stock one with brand new oem plastics/graphics, pushes it into his truck and lays it on it side, running a huge gouge into the shroud and number plate and tore the graphics almost completely off.... all I could do was say wow lol!
