Vital MX Pit Bits: 2026 Seattle - Supercross 3

Pit Bits, from Seattle Supercross 2026, enjoy

With the late roll-in, due to the Superbowl celebration, some last-minute items were still being set up throughout Friday's press activities.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-149
Lumen Field offers indoor pits, which, for a fan, offer some of the most up-close action and interaction with the teams, bikes, and staff.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-139
Things got a little packed and tight when autograph-signing time came around.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-121.jpg?VersionId=uUO0Rble2pS1zk
How each team tackles their indoor setups is kinda interesting to check out before the crowds really packed in.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-048
And they really packed in...
PitBits-Seattle-2026-131
The Lawrence Fan Zone continues to be quite the cool concept and we're wondering if any other riders will attempt something like this down the road.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-116
A few teams were still able to maintain an area for their riders and guests with backdrops.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-115
The vast majority of race trailers in the paddock are built by Featherlite.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-146
With the Seahawks, the team that plays in Lumen Field, having won the Superbowl just the prior weekend, there was a nod from some riders and teams.

Logna Leitzel hopped down to the 250 class to fill in on the PRMX team.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-058
Kitchen, being the home state guy, had his own Seahawks nod.

Champion Tool Storage, title sponsor and co-owner of the team, is based out of Hood River, Oregon...leaving the Seahawks as their "Pacific Northwest" team.

A little nod on the shroud.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-106
But a bit more in the pit area.

They brought this Champion Tool Storage pit cart in full Seahawks colors.

With a special touch...

Their truck driver, a recent retired member of the military, was gifted it after the race.

PitBits-Seattle-2026-136
Some were prepped for the muddy track walk conditions.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-095
Some weren't as prepared.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-135
Chance Hymas was in attendance, smiles and all. We'll see you at Fox Raceway.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-134
Quite a few of Yamaha's support teams keep a traditional design on their rigs, minus ClubMX.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-132
Prepping spare fork guards with holeshot devices and reinforced mounting brackets...this and prepping new plastics every week with graphics are two of the most tedious projects that most fans don't think about.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-133.jpg?VersionId=XZSEzqD51AFtoNjbI1Rpo
Going from 114 (113.5 in this can's case), to 109db next is going to be a big swing.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-130
Ever been at an airport in a town where Supercross is at that weekend? You might just see a fleet of Ogios rolling off in baggage claim.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-129
PitBits-Seattle-2026-128
We've always really dug these hubcaps the PC team uses.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-126
Big Lew over there, just walking around.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-125.jpg?VersionId=Euleear73As9b3cGimwTWnUL.m9.k8
While the mechanics tend to stick to Ogio's 9800 due to the open compartment to haul a ton of parts, some of the riders and gear guys lean towards the Rig T3 to haul all the goods.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-122
We're pretty sure this reaction was right after Lewis had to show Chase his "goggle / helmet fit" that went badly...
PitBits-Seattle-2026-114
Cory, you look like you've seen a ghost.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-113
After spending about a month with the red plate, it's a little odd to see the white and black #3 on the KTM again.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-112
The infamous cable clutch aboard Tomac's Red Bull KTM 450 SX-F.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-111
The lever battle between ARC and ASV for team supremacy has been interesting. Always good to see more push from brands to work with teams and push their products.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-109
With the track starting out on the muddy side Saturday morning, a few teams rolled out their own pressure washer carts to Feld's designated washing area outside. Feld provides a fleet of power washers for smaller teams and privateers to use; however, the big teams tend to have their own setups so they aren't waiting in line.

In one of the halls of Lumen Field, we found endless jerseys from notable music acts that have performed there. Here are a few examples that will probably give you an idea of this editor's music preferences.

PitBits-Seattle-2026-091
With the soft conditions heading into Saturday, we expected more teams and riders to go the "scoop" route. However, very few bit on the idea. Pro Circuit took a unique route, choosing to back cut their center knobs in an every other pattern.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-089.jpg?VersionId=D4HWp7bpJr4.bJB
Another look at the back cut tire.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-055.jpg?VersionId=0sKggROf
The ClubMX guys were the only 250 riders we saw attempt the full scoop tire.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-084
Not every team has a full semi, but there's some cool setups between the factory look and van life, like this mid-sized trailer that SLR Honda uses.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-085
Coach Mark's motivation.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-086
We did a test on SLR's XPR engine package late last year, look it up, it's FAST.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-083
The Grindstone team is another that doesn't have a full-sized rig, but still has a clean overall pit presence.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-088
While talking to the TLD team staff, they've been testing non-stop with Ferrnadis since the first race, and the week before Arlington will mark the first week the Frenchman has returned to Florida to just ride and settle in. We'll be curious how the next week or two progresses for them with that change in pace.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-082
TLD had a Scream 7 activation area setup. The greenscreen and cutting you into a movie scene was a nice touch.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-079
Chase Sexton's Monster Energy Kawasaki KX450. While the changes the past few weekends have been more internal, it looks like there will be some new parts onboard for Arlington. Keep an eye out for more on that.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-080.jpg?VersionId=edX0uR4
The clearance between Sexton's spec PC header and the frame is TIGHT.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-077.jpg?VersionId=EVW5COpgIWrmKWBsj
Sexton's bike balance has been changing a bit week to week. One week, the forks are nearly flush, the next they're sucked up a bit in the clamps.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-076
Sexton's helmet he received at A2, when he honored Andy Irons.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-078
Cold race, tire warmers are out!
PitBits-Seattle-2026-118.jpg?VersionId=VkScUD2wUjj u
Being able to tune and monitor bikes will almost guarantee you a job in the pits, as there are still not that many techs who have that skill set.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-117.jpg?VersionId=SgiNYnLHRo Otbylu
No wins, but heading into the second weekend carrying the red plate.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-072.jpg?VersionId=w EnwEHCzZ7w.kapet5 d
Hunter stuck with the scoop pretty much all day, while Tomac only used it early in the day.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-071
Sometimes we get a little busy with Pit Bits and forget to add things we shoot in certain weeks. Here's an example of that, as a couple of rounds ago, Hunter Lawrence swapped from the works 27mm cartridge to the production 25mm cartridge. This specific internal cartridge and top cap come from the CRF450R Works Edition.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-068
Now that's a warm up look there.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-067
Fork warmers were very prevalent in the pits during the cold morning in Seattle. Also, note the holes in the base of the fork guard. Some mechanics do this to allow for a mud relief if they get packed into the bottom of the forks and behind the fork guard.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-066
Leighton Rice has been with the KTM USA group since around 1998 and heads up the racing engine department these days.

Hi Jared. It's getting harder and harder to get photos of him before he runs off...

Pretty much every top team ditches the OEM style multi-button switches (which are susceptible to water damage), and swap to individual switches for kill, start, and launch control functions.

Korsace has been killing it on the helmet paint jobs.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-057.jpg?VersionId=WUG7VaTxhY0P Mvx F
Like him or hate him, Deeg's Fox kits have been on point this year.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-053.jpg?VersionId=E48ZPOVBM.aJy6goNN33D
Still really, really want a set of PSF1 works caps...
PitBits-Seattle-2026-052
Poor Anderson had a few kicking the Suzuki moments in Seattle.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-051
Sadly, Prado will not be present this next week in Arlington, as his shoulder injury needs a bit more time.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-050
Prado pink is BACK!
PitBits-Seattle-2026-049
Pit puppers!
PitBits-Seattle-2026-046
Pretty much all of the Factory Kawasaki talk has been focused on Sexton, but we've noticed Marchbanks also making some adjustments, such as adding the gusseted swingarm from the PC 250 team to his 450 as well.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-044
Sup, Parker.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-043
AEO knuckleheads...we mean, professional mechanics.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-041
A little look at Austin Kent and how he latches down Max Anstie's starting blocks to the grate.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-039
Trying some new stuff out, photo wise.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-035
Jorge Prado will be in fewer orange and more colorful kits for the remaining
PitBits-Seattle-2026-034
Dylan Ferrandis' mechanic, Dalen Vernazza.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-033
Scoop meets knobbie.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-011
Just having fun with camera stuff.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-031
The Factory Ride goggles are starting to pop up with their patent company, FXR's, branding. We dig it.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-030.jpg?VersionId=Z3ZUAN6arX49afFXU7TVv
Now that's a look.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-029
Almost go time.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-025
PitBits-Seattle-2026-022
The full kit style vest Alpinestars makes for their riders is just another one of the little things that top brands do for the sport's best.

Another example of the coats here with Tomac.

What's Ground Force? It's a company primarily servicing the mining industry with heavy equipment servicing lube trucks, add-ons, and solutions.

PitBits-Seattle-2026-021
We say this all the time, but just when you think Red Bull helmets can't get any different, they find the coolest details to add. Another awesome setup for Air Trix.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-020
We might seem like a broken record at this point but we're excited for 6D's new goggle.

The field of vision looks pretty crazy.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-062.jpg?VersionId=J GgRlsGmXuzp
Another look at the Max.

A trip to the LCQ is never fun, but sometimes it pays off.
PitBits-Seattle-2026-017
Work on that RBF Avery...
PitBits-Seattle-2026-014
Man of the night. Our video guy, Sean Ogden, dodged Gordon's bike mid-crash in the LCQ and made the highlight reel. Go Sean, go!
PitBits-Seattle-2026-012
Mechanic tool bags and what's attached to them are always worth a look.

Frustrated, and maybe ready to finally crack that win in Arlington? Speaking of which, see you all there!
