Top 10: New Jersey 1

The Monster Energy Supercross round in East Rutherford, NJ? This was Supercross turned up to 11, as Feld Motorsports went all-out to put on a quite a show for the SX-deprived fans in the Northeast. Follow along, and we'll run through the Top 10 in each class, starting with the 450s.

Ryan Villopoto (Monster Energy Kawasaki) got the 450 main started with a holeshot.

10. Weston Peick (MotoSport.com/WP Racing) was 13th at the end of lap one, but he worked his way into 10th place by the end of the main event.

9. Trey Canard (Team Honda Muscle Milk) had scored a big heat race win over James Stewart (Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing) early in the evening, but he was buried near last at the end of lap one in the main event. Ninth was the best he could do tonight.

8. Andrew Short (BTO Sports/KTM) was eighth tonight, and looks destined for a sixth overall in the final season standings. Justin Brayton is his closest pursuer, and out of action, and he's too far back to catch Justin Barcia.

7. Mike Alessi (Smartop MotoConcepts Racing) was right up front at the start, and finished in seventh on the night. He's currently in 12th spot in the standings, tied with Weston Peick, and both of them are likely to move up next week as the idle Wil Hahn and Broc Tickle are right in front of them in the standings.

6. Ryan Dungey (KTM) started tenth, and had worked his way to fourth by the eighth lap, but he dropped a couple spots near the end. This quick tip-over didn't help.

5. Ken Roczen (KTM) was another rider on the move in the main, as he started 12th, on the way to an eventual fifth-place finish.

4. Justin Barcia (Team Honda Muscle Milk) started outside the top ten, and charged to fourth at the end. He battled for a bit with Ken Roczen, and at one point they were having a good three-way battle with along with Ryan Dungey.

3. Josh Hill (RCH Racing Soaring Eagle) scored his first podium finish in quite some time, and looks like he's having more fun than ever doing it. He's come a long way in his recovery from the nasty injuries of a few years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed his time on the podium.

2. Eli Tomac (GEICO Honda) is a little frustrated with his riding, but he looked good in East Rutherford, finishing in second spot.

1. Ryan Villopoto (Monster Energy Kawasaki) had this triple in his pocket all night long, and it was a nice advantage to have on most of the rest of the pack (we also saw Roczen doing it on occasion.) RV's win propelled him to another 450 title...his fourth straight, and he also took home a Toyota Tundra for the highest point total in the Toyota Triple Challenge.

The champ with his team, and the hardware.

This was an odd week for the competitors in the 250 East title chase, with news of injuries to Blake Baggett and Martin Davalos that'll keep both from finishing their seasons. That left things wide open for Justin Bogle to take command of the series, and that's exactly what he did.

Jimmy DeCotis scored the holeshot to start the main event.

10. Aussie Jackson Richardson (Honda) was tenth here.

9. Jimmy Decotis (Honda) had taken a heat race win to start off the night, and had a good start here, but he slipped to ninth at the finish. As you can see, it started raining just as the gate dropped for the 250 main. It got a bit slick during the 250 race, but turned out awesome for the 450 main.

8. Mitchell Oldenburg (Honda) led early in his heat race, and was eight at the checkers.

7. Alex Martin (CycleTrader.com/Rock River Yamaha) ran as high as fourth in the main.

6. Kyle Cunningham (Smartop MotoConcepts Racing) was seventh at the start, and sixth at the finish.

5. Matthew Lemoine (JAB Motorsports Kawasaki) had a rough start to his season, but has climbed steadily up the standings, and is now tied for seventh with Jimmy DeCotis.

4. Matthew Bisceglia got a taste of running up front, as he took over the lead from Jimmy DeCotis on lap four, and led for three circuits before being overtaken by his GEICO Honda teammate, Justin Bogle.

3. Vince Friese (Factory MetalWorks Honda) had his best race of the season, finishing in third spot. That's also where he'll likely finish in the final season standings after next weekend, too.

2. Jeremy Martin's second-place finish was his best so far this year. Expect better things from him outdoors.

1. Justin Bogle (Honda) soars over the finish line. He made this one look easy, which is crazy, considering that many didn't think he'd even be able to race the 250 East this year after a big pre-season crash. He now has a 17-point lead, and will rock the red plate in Las Vegas as he goes for the championship.
