This weekend will feature hot action, but cool temperatures. The skies are overcast (but lightening), and so far temps have only crept up into the 60s...so the riders should enjoy good racing weather when the gate drops for racing this afternoon.
Though he's sore from a mid-week practice crash, JGRMX Toyota/Yamaha's Josh Grant took the top spot in qualifying, a few tenths ahead of the guy he's chasing in the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship title chase, Rockstar Makita Suzuki's Chad Reed. Yamaha Factory Racing's Josh Hill earned third spot on the time sheets, and hopefully that will translate to some good results today. He's been hampered by a string of small injuries.

In the 250 class, Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki's Christophe Pourcel topped the charts, with the fastest overall lap of the practice sessions. He topped his main rival in the 250 title chase, Ryan Dungey.
