Window Shopping: Checking out Scott's Latest Goggles

Want a good, long look at the new Scott goggle lineup? Yeah, they've got a ton of models, and even more colorways, so there'll be some scrolling involved. Hopefully you won't get mouse-finger-pump.

Scott Tyrant

Let's start at the top of the heap, with Scott's outrigger-style goggle. It sports the Scott Fit System that allows you to tune the goggle frame shape for optimum face and nose fit. How about where the goggle meets your face? The three-layer NoSweat 3.2 Face Foam does the job to route sweat away from your skin at the top of the goggle while also preventing it from reaching the interior of the lens. On the lower half of the goggle, it switches to a two-layer foam that dials in the optimum balance of comfort and sweat protection around your nose and cheeks. Ventilation is even tunable by clipping on the RAM Air Plug to direct even more air through the foam at the top.

What else? Also included is Scott's adjustable noseguard and either a clear or chrome WORKS lens that features UV protection and a NoFog treatment. Pick from a boatload of graphic treatments, and yep, you can also get this one with film system for really muddy days.

Suggested Retail: $65-$85, depending on graphic and lens. $95 with film system.

Scott Hustle

The Scott Hustle is a favorite of Trey Canard and Andrew Short, it's a more standard-style goggle, but with all the same features as the Tyrant, with the Scott Fit System, 3.2 layer foam, and a silicone-lined strap. Need a film system? Yep, you can find that on the Hustle.

Suggested Retail: $50-$75, depending on graphic and lens. $85 with film system.

Scott Split OTG

Do you have the misfortune of trying to wear glasses and ride like a couple of our staffers here at Vital? You'll appreciate Scott's OTG (Over The Glasses) model. Yep, it has the same features as the Tyrant and Hustle, but a frame shape that fits over prescription glasses, and enough ventilation to keep all three layers of lenses (yours and the goggles) fog-free. There are also Sand/Dust models, with a finer vent foam designed to keep out the really small particles, and for heavy-duty ventilation needs, they have a fan system as well.

Suggested Retail: $60-$65, depending on graphic and lens. $120 with fan system.

Scott RecoilXI Pro

If you want a solid performer that doesn't quite have all the bells and whistles of the high-end models (along with a lower price tag), you might want to check out a returning model, the RecoilXI Pro. With tons of stylish graphics, you've got plenty of options to choose from, and you still get features like three-layer face foam, the silicone-lined strap, removable noseguard, and NoFog lens treatment. Yep, you can even get it with a film system, or  a dust-catcher model for added dust protection. There are also white, red, and blue models available.

Suggested Retail: $40-$45, depending on graphic and lens. $75 with film system, and $45 for the dust-catcher.
