I'm looking to start racing seriously this season. I've rode for quite a while and it's about time to start with the competition. Based on your experience, which track do you find most entertaining to ride? I've rode Cumberland Parkway MX, and Blackrock. Any insight would be appreciated.

Cumberland is slightly boring. Blackrock is a little better IMO.

Well, which one do you think is most entertaining out of all of them. Ballance, Daniel Boone, Bar 2 Bar, etc.?

Boring is probably good for your first race, because once the gate drops for your first race, you'll be anything but bored.

Good mellow track is the best place for a first race

It's not my first race. But trying to get more serious about it. Have been practicing and picking up more skills. So it's about time to go to a bigger track. I'm thinking Daniel Boone is gonna be the choice.

All those are decent. Up closer to Louisville, you have some tracks in Bedford that are fun for the weekend warrior.
Nickota MX, D Track, Horseshoe Bend MX, and Highy Fly in Indiana.

Not sure about the drive to those. Being from Central Kentucky, was kinda hoping for a shorter trip. And DBMX is only about hour drive, plus it's where my dad rode for a while. Seen you (Michael) at Indy this year , you were flat out flying. Had one of those moments when you realize that fast riders were able to be produced out of Kentucky. Great riding.

Not sure where your located in Ken. ,im assuming middle to eastern Ky.

I havent raced since 05 but i live in middle Tn about 10 mi from Ky, and i raced most of the western Ky tracks, a place 15 miles south of Paducah, called western Ky outdoor Mx, in a tiny town called Lowes ,Ky, they used to have LL q , and even had a regional in the 90s, and another was Murray, SX in Murray Ky, dont think its there any more and it was just a 3-4 race series during the summer. a track just north of Hopkinsville, Ky called 800 Mx , a guy named Steve Ezell runs it, or used to,
another track outside of Madisonville,ky never raced it but i think its called thunder valley, and another just south of Henderson ,Ky its been closed for yrs.and the one in Bowling Green, Balance Mx i never raced it, i was allready done racing by the time it opened.

I know back 10-15 yrs ago Ky had alot more tracks than middle Tn thats for sure.

I've heard of Ballance, that was one of the front runners I had for the choosing. The others I'm not so sure about. I'm more in South Central. Around Campbellsville and Columbia.
