Which Bike to Buy

I'm a Veteran Flat Tracker who is going to start riding/racing Vintage MX. I have 3 options: The first is a 1978 cr125m Elsinore, second is a 1979 cr250r for and third a 1985 cr250r. The 125 and the '79 250 are both fully restored in mint, whereas the 85 250 is in Very Good condition, but not mint.

I kind of prefer the 125 Elsinore just because it's so damned cool, but I've also been told the 79 250r is supposed to be prime year for vintage mx'ers.

Any thoughts?

did you race flat track? and if so what years did you race?

I've been racing Flat Track since 1999. I have raced in the Eddie Mulder West Coast Vintage Series, Gene Romero's West Coast Series, Southern California Flat Track Association, as well as races at Ventura Raceway. Currently, I'm mainly riding the SCFTA races at Perris Raceway's 1/4 mile in the Bomber Class (70's singles).

I am 33, 180 lbs, and in good shape. I have wanted to do motocross since I was 3 years old, and just now finally have the money to buy a bike. What kind of bike should I start on?
