Gold and Oil

Huge condolences and thoughts and prayers go to Japan right now. We all saw those amazing images of the wreackage and 100mph waves ripping across the ocean towards those cities. It was like a scene from Godzilla! One of my friends in Fukushima lost their home in the friday afternoon quake and now theres big threat of a nuclear meltdown 20km away. Right now they are trying to reunite from Tokyo under colossal difficulty. It must be like a war zone in those areas.

One small blessing from the Japan earthquake/tsunami is we've had the whole weekend to see how things pan out before the tsunami hits the markets..but is there more greater good that can come from this?

3rd largest economy and huge oil consumer has all but come to a standstill, the cost of rebuild when their debt levels are at 200% gdp....will gold now sky rocket to $1500 and oil fall below $80? The rebuild will stimulate their declining economy eventually.

The big threat to global recovery and way of life are high oil prices. Oil has dropped like a rock in the first moments of trading by 1%..
