I just recently started riding dirt again after taking quite a long break. After about 2 hours of hard riding, I get a blister on both hands in the inside of my palms. Jokes aside, by taking a look where there forming, do you guys have any ideas what's causing them. It doesn't help i work on computers for a living so my palms are rather soft. So far, I decided I'm going to stop wearing gloves at the gym to strengthen my skin and build calluses. I was just wondering if these could be formed from too tight of a grip, poor hand grip, bad grips, gloves or all of thee above. This last weekend I tried to just deal with the pain and keep riding but it really affected my ability to grip and prevented me from keep riding.

i found gloves had the most effect. last season with a certain pair of gloves i was getting 4 blisters a hand. it got to the point where i was getting blood blisters and they would pop while riding. it sucked. then i switched to thicker gloves, its all good now.

You just have really soft hands. But also pick up a transworld motocross mag and theres n add for these underwear gloves....they are just a half glove and they are to prevent blisters

Don't count out the effect of the type of grips you are running too.

A hard compound flat grip will be harder on your hands.

My son went through some of the same things when he switched to the full size bike, blistered up the first couple rides and had never had that issue before.
Then we realized it was the first time he had ridden a bike that didn't have the softer "Half-Waffle" type grips we usually ran.
Swapped them out to his usual and no problems since.

Keeping your gloves clean and free of that little sandpaper kind of dirt inside will help too.
