Another Eli Thread

As alot of us on this forum, I've been a huge ET3 fan since his Geico Honda days, all the way through until his final race Saturday Night. Of all racers, he did it the right way. No off the track drama, clean riding, respect for the sport and his competitiors and lastly his racecraft and speed itself.

But I made this thread because It hardly feels real. It feels like something that was taken from us as fans, and him as a racer way too soon.

He won 4 SX races this year, early. He looked like the Eli of old. Then we all started talking about catching McGrath on the all time sx wins list. Then poof, a few crashes, maybe his age catching up as well as his mind. Then he rides outdoors after a bad crash, comes back and rides around in 7th-14th place. Its hard watching,  knowing the greatness he's had and its not what we're used too.

With that said, he's earned it all, hes healthy and can step away knowing hes one of the best riders to ever swing a leg over a bike. I wish he and his family the best in they're future endeavors. Just hard to believe its here when he was looking dominate on the SC track earlier this season.

Happy retirement ET
