now that regals hurt why wouldnt james want malcom to be on his team - seems like a good fit? i guess there already a contract w suzuki and malcom - so i guess why wouldnt james originally wanted malcom instead of regal ??

Malcolm did his own deal with suzuki city, why he couldn't add his brother is a good question all together one that james can only answer I guess

Maybe Malcolm wants to go out and prove to himself and the field that he can make it on his own, racing without James' help. If he was racing under the JS7 rig everyone on Vital would talk about how he has been GIVEN everything and blah blah blah lol. He wants to earn his OWN ride. That's the way I see it.

Uhhh yeah I do. He was right up there with Barcia and Sipes in the heat race last weekend. Malcolm also came out as strong as ever in Houston for it being his first pro race. He has struggled with consistency in the mains just like every other rookie does. There is no doubt the kid is fast...

The thing is, if he wasn't James brother, he would likely be a totally different person and rider, so it is moot to argue about him not getting that ride if he wasn't. Perhaps he would have worked harder as an amateur if he wasn't, or perhaps he wouldn't have raced at all, who knows.

I agree to a certain extent but it's not like the kid is riding for Mitch @ Pro Circuit. He is on what seems to be a satellite/privateer team or whatever. Not one of the big dogs. I say he earns the ride he has now with whatever last name you want to give him. How many guys go out there on their second pro heat race and put a wheel in on Barcia, then hold down 3rd place in the Heat? Not many...

I agree, never said a famous sibling does nt help, but i m being real , not living in a fantasy world! I agree , in every work place, if you know someone that helps you get employed, i m all for it , but don t act like it was all your doing when you get the job/ride! Malcom is fast , his last name being stewart helps him and hurts him at the same time!

Agreed. Hopefully he brings some speed to the field and mixes it up to make the racing even better than it already is.

X 2...besides just becasue JS is the best rider in the world doesn't mean he would be a great mentor, especially since he is Malcolm's bro.
Most of you no doubt don't follow Hockey, but the worlds best player, Gretzky, turned out to be an awful coach.

I follow all sports, some are better players than coaches, visa versa, Ex: phil jackson also! Totally agree on that, some are just natural talents but don t have the teaching skills or the patience to make some one better.

Malcolm is a bonehead. He's loose and takes himself and others out. Kinda like his brotherShocked . Needs to back it off a touch and race for the championship, not to prove himself to others.
