With all of the attention on the KX327 (myself included) I was thinking about the very outdated YZ250 (I’ve had several and have loved them all). I wonder what it would take the “de-enduro” a fantic and make it motocross friendly. Has anyone here seen one or ridden one? I also wonder what it would take to put YZ bodywork on it. It looks like the frame and subframe are standard issue YZ parts from what I can tell. Just not sure about the tank design. I also noticed the XE300 is oil injected. I’m sure it works fine, but I also wonder about getting rid of that and just running premix. I have two kids on two strokes and it’s really nice just mixing up one type of fuel.

It’s easy to delete the oil injection and run premix. As for running YZ bodywork, you can’t use a tank with a petcock on an FI bike and vise versa.
