I wonder if crop dusters make good money. We increased our farmed land 24% last year so there should be some job openings.

It's a tough gig, I've heard rumors of guys livin' the dream flying dusters and living comfortably in the country.

More than likely, just like a majority of pilot jobs, you'll be eating cup-o-noodle for a lonnnnnnnnnnng time before you see some decent cash.

There's some new schools out there that make some big promises, kids seem to get stars in their eyes and convince daddy to cut that 65k check....

If I did not have a family I would become a crop duster. I love watching those guys work.

I crop dust at work, my coworkers get pissed when they smell it.

Theres a few fellas around here who spray in the Brazos bottom outside College Station. Ive seen an Ag-Truck and Air-Tractor also at one time or another. Mainly spraying cotton - defoliating, etc. You wont get rich doing it thats for sure, but they sure have fun doing hammer stalls once the tanks are empty.

Congrats there launch pad. Did you bounce? How many hours did you have before your first solo and what aircraft did you do it in?
