Going to southwick for my first time this year and planned on staying a night or two. I've been to a bunch of other nationals but wondering how southwick works in particular when it comes to camping because of its unique location and size compared to other nationals.

Southwick is way too small to host camping. Their parking setup for the event is literally just parking in the field of the local public school next to the track.

I've stayed at Sodom campground and Prospect mountain. Sodom was closer (maybe 10 min drive, 15 to prospect). Prospect had more things for kids but both had pools and hot showers which felt great after being in the sun and dust all day. I would pick sodom, seemed a little quieter. Each have a 2 night stay minimum. Call early, they fill up fast.

Hoping for some tips 'n tricks on our travel through boston/nyc:

What are the best options for a stay around the Southwick national at the moment?

Rented a camper from boston to attend the AMA promotcross at the Wick and we were planning on staying from friday till sunday. This so we could get the full American AMA experience but just found out there isn't camping on the event itself - or at least for non-riders i guess?

Yeah... no camping at the 'wick.  Unlike all other nationals, this track is nestled between a public school parking lot in a suburban environment.  Def no place for a camper..

Camping the night before the National at Southwick was a blast in the late 80's / early 90's.  No more though... 😥

Congamond lakes are in Southwick as well as neighboring Suffield, CT. There must be some campgrounds in the area near the track.
