I plan to keep adding to this thread and linking my other build logs to it as I rediscover them.  However, here is the way this all went down over the past few years.  When Smokey Pines MX opened in Pennsylvania I'd only been back home from Texas for a few months and my shop was less than organized but I was able to get the 125 back together for the Hoosier GNCC.  That probably what cooked the plug to the point that the electrode area broke off later on and trashed the top end.  It was also time for a bottom end rebuild again.  Somewhere along the line I shipped everything off to Tom Morgan and asked him to fix a different cylinder I'd picked up along the way and punch it out to a 134.  In my mid 30s I find that life gets whacky and months go by.  Months where I just keep throwing parts bought late at night into a bid for what will be the ultimate build.

This is how I originally took ownership of the 2006 Yamaha YZ125.  If you're a long time vital user you'll recognize this.  Back in 2018 I watched an MXA youtube about bringing a 2006 back to life.  Already having a bad 125 addiction I decided to trade my 2012 KTM125SX off for this.  It wasn't in any kind of shape really.  Some rust and corrosion but just general age looking back.  I've redone this bike several times...a Plessinger themed 125, then a Fasthouse theme, and then a few other less than pretty looks but more a "riding the hell out of it" and just having a solid modified 125 phase.  Then the unexpected spark plug failure pictured below.  I'll take a moment to stop here and explain why I uploaded pics and then took to editing the posts.  For some reason I can only get pics to upload from my phone.  That said head to the post with the trashed piston and spark plug to continue on...

So in order to get the current body style I took to ebay, mxlocker, and the bazaar here for the tank and subframe.  Somewhere in my timeline I had acquired a set of current plastics but ultimately only ended up using the rear fender and side number plates in the final product.

While I was mocking up the body I was also rebuilding the engine with a Tom Morgan 134 that I’d had made up a few months before.  I also had him rebuild my oem crank to ensure the connect rod and bearing were all good. I had some local guys vaporhone my cases since my sand blasting source had down a pretty harsh job on all my cases.

The next thing I plan on doing is add my red cv4 rad hoses with all new clamps.
