It's amazing to me what people will put up with from famous, or in this case "famous in our small world of MX" people.
No that I have an opinion on Hannah one way or the other.
Can anyone help me out with figuring what year like Lackey jersey is from? Early privateer days? I've had zero luck trying to find a year where he wore #9 while racing a Husky. It was given to me last year by a childhood friend of Brad's who found out I was a motocross fan. It's free to a good home if someone's interested in framing it, but not if you want to try and sell it.
I like that we have the Hannahs out there, guys who liven it up and make the sport more colorful. I have not listened to the podcast yet, but if Bob called Alessi a douche, that is not called for. Sure, he can state his opinion, and state it strongly, but calling the kid a douche is not cool, especially if it was really a jab at Tony A. We should not blame Mike for Tony's sins.
Also, I don't agree with the statement that Bob has earned the right to state his opinion and has a "unique" perspective. As far as I know he has no more of a unique perspective than any other past champion. Now he does have the right to state his opinion, but no more than any other racer, ex-racer, industry insider or even a fan as far as that goes.
I am going to go listen to the podcast now. I will report back if my opinion changes.
EDIT: OK, it was not that bad. Seemed like Hannah was just having fun. I think the Rollerball pole smoker line was an inside joke myself. I could do without the political commentary, the US is divided enough without mixing motocross and politics. I think Hannah and Ted Nugent would be good friends.
Pit Row
Examples of that would be the J-Law and Dungey feud or the earlier feuds with RV and Alessi.
Hannah and Ross are FRIENDS and have a lot of history together. Bob was just having some inside fun with Izer and Kelly leading up to his interview with Steve the next day that David Izer had been lining up for a year.
Ross would be laughing too. And anyway, who doesn't have some homo-erotic humor in their repertoire once in a while? (while being completely hetero)....C'mon...let's be honest with ourselves......(insert crickets sound)
Doesn't mean we're bigots, racists or "insensitive".
BH speaks his mind and doesn't care what others think, that's for sure. "Bigot" hardly. The guy is the salt of the earth (while being a little too salty sometimes).
If everyone (and I mean everyone) on this board were part of the moral majority then a lot of folks should take a real hard look at their posts, avatars, etc...and perhaps call out my buddy GuyB for the "smut he's peddling" (don't though)...Did I see where you had to be 18 to be on here even lurking? I don't think so but even that wouldn't stop eager young moto minds from seein' what all "the men" are doing on Vital. Take a gut check y'all.
Now how about those two footballer teams playing this weekend...Who is it Tampa and Dallas I think?
LOL!
Let's go racin'!
Bob was the king of jerking people's chains and he's STILL doing it very well to this day, as evidenced by all the reactions here!
*"Finally recovered that championship Suzuki, now if only I could get back one of my early #9 Husky Jerseys"*
P.S. ~ The Alessi's ROCK!
Seen him race many times, also have met him many, many times.
He likes to talk shit/be a smart ass at times,it is in his character.
He doesn't mean any harm.
