Are tires an issue?

Have noticed a lot of front end washouts so far in SX. With Bridgestone out and Dunlop the only supplier except JGR are there issues with their tires? I know i personally do not like the new Geomax tires compared to the previous tires Dunlop offered. And I can't push anywhere close to what a top pro can. Or is it an issue of the forks being so stiff for the whoops it is causing a push.

I think much of it has been pure luck, with maybe the loose dirt we've seen at most races being a contributing factor. Tires maybe, but we'll never know because no one is going to throw their tire sponsor under the bus!

i dont think they are alot of pros i know were bummed when they had to switch to dunflops. i

No tires are not an issue. Both Dunlop and Bridgestone use quality compounds and have good tread patterns.

Tires are sometimes overrated.

I think they should make the switch now to Cheng Chin's or Kenda's before anyone else goes down.

It is no coincidence that the two fastest guys in the corners are losing the front end. Doesn't mean that tires couldn't improve, but it might just be that they are pushing it.

Tires do NOT matter at all. Totally over-rated. I only change mine once every five years but only if they're flat.

The real key to losing the front end, is the "upper high speed low rebound adjuster" on the forks. Period. You're welcome.

Brayton had a washout in phoenix. Dudes used to wash front ends all the time when it was bridgestone dominating the tire hand outs. They are DIRTbikes after all.

Yes, exactly . Tires are MOSTLY overrated.
