Back yet again for another 50 issue that started this weekend. Once my kids bike got hot and he’d try to hammer on the throttle it would bog. If he let off then rolled onto the throttle then it’d keep going but if he tried to hold it, it would die.
Running the stock jetting (cleaned all the jets), 60:1, 91 ethanol free, 25 hours on the bike.
I’ve pulled the stator but could not get an ohm reading, it’d just stay at 1. Went ahead and ordered another one just want to know of any other issues it could be while I wait on it to get here.
Change plug , ck spark plug boot
First thing I'd always do on our 50 was check all the carb overflow pipes weren't' clogged with mud. Then change the plug.
The new stator came in yesterday and it’s back to being crisp with no bog, thank goodness. I’ve had the clogged hoses and thought he blew the bike up the way it just went out. New to to the whole 50 headache and it’s living up to its reputation.
