do you think the 10 year span between major titles is the best comeback story ever? in no other top tier motorsport championship have we seen that 10 year span. mx/sx mxgp f1 motogp enduro wsbk rally etc Also at 32 is maybe the oldest to ever do it. these alone are very special without even considering the injuries and the old suzuki.
On the other hand jett was out and most of top riders struggle this season one way or another. it was the perfect opportunity and he just manage to bring it home, kinda like a movie scenario.
Febvre won his 2nd MXGP title last year at the age of 33 ten years after his first in 2015. Very overlooked and also super impressive.
Kennys story is for probably on another level though considering his injuries.
One more thread about these two exact things will surely land us a definitive answer.
AND…get outa here with the lame crap about “Jett was out and others were struggling” BS!
At the end of the damn day you gotta be IN IT, TO WIN IT and saying ANY competitor was not here minimizes the achievement is 100% garbage.
By that idiotic logic, every NBA league MVP only got it because Michael Jordan wasn’t there…(really stupid!)
Roczen persevered this season and he WON the title fair & square…That the other competitors shit the bed and were unable to show up & race for the title is THEIR problem…not Roczen’s!
Furthermore…that applies to EVERY title in EVERY season. 😡
