Wanting to do an '03 YZ125 build. I have always loved the idea of building replica bikes and as this would be my first vintage ground up build I would like to do that. My dilemma is that I want something moderately unique. YOT builds are not. Do not get me wrong I LOVE those bikes but I want something I little different from the rest. Any ideas of other replicas I could do? Maybe a '03 Reed replica with black plates?

Cool! I still have my 2003 YZ125. Original owner! How about a 3D Racing look? This is the 2002 look, but gives the idea. I always thought the orange rims were cool and unique.
a 2003 "factory" yz125 would look dope. Reeds 250 is a good reference point
Take a look through the 125sx east/west standings

Search for some of the names to get ideas.
I do my builds the same. Just find period correct parts and graphics and then pretend it was from a privateer back then who coincidentally had my name and number 😂

You could do a time-warp Chaparral YZ from 1998, like Jimmy Button's bike:
EDIT: I know you're looking at a 2003 bike; just throwing out ideas for the graphics.
Oh, why didn't I remember this? Mach1 Yamaha started in 2003, I believe. Here's a 2004 image:
Mach 1 bikes are sweet and relatively easy to find parts for.
Honestly it all comes down to having a proper template for that bike.
Once you have it you can go any direction with the design, even DIY print if you want...
03 250....
Wayyy too busy.
Noleen or pj1, but theyre both a little prior to 03 I believe.
