KTM Connectivity Unit SOLD

Can this be used on a bike after its already been setup for another bike or do you need to go to a dealer to reset something? I've never used this but someone told me that you might have to pay a dealer a fee to unlock your bike for it. I am interested but just want to know if I have to throw down more or if this is just plug and play.
