I've just sold my Honda CR250 1986 factory replica (did I do the right thing?). Alas I couldn't keep it as it was in storage 30 miles away and have no time to use it. I hope she's gone to a good home. I know it's back on ebay UK. Here's one last shot.

Hi I know I'm late to your post but can you tell me where you found that front number plate or if you made it to mimic the hrc one? Thanks
Hello, I did indeed make it look like the HRC number plate. The HRC number plate seems to sit on the front mudguard. All I did was drill and tap a hole in the lower triple clamp. and drill two new mounting holes in the number plate so that It sits lower. I filled in the top mounting hole though if you have the skills you could cut that out along with the recess and relocate and plastic weld it in place. I also cut a notch at the bottom of the number plate on the right hand side (as you look at it) about 25mm wide and 10mm deep. Just enough to slip over the lower triple clamp brake hose guide. The oblong hose guide higher up on the number plate is an Acerbis item. It is much closer looking to the HRC item than the Cycra hose guide. I don't think that is available in white any more but I did think I saw one somewhere the other day. A few people have made them out of a teflon block. The brake hose was made for me by Venhill (cables) in the UK. I supplied the white/opaque sheathing (it is beer hose, that goes from beer barrels up to the pump, in pubs) and they did the rest. I asked them to make the hose about 25mm longer to the authentic HRC hose style.
Good luck with your build.
