You win! Smile

Actually back in the '70's Photographer Steve French shot with a Hassleblad. I have never seen anybody else since do that - shoot with a medium format camera.

His stuff was great and I think DC has a bunch of his images now archived.

its really rare to see anybody ever shoot with the hassalblads anymore, but i did see a couple photographers with them the other day and they are simply amazing! Even the film cameras produce some really awesome work. and for only 20 grand you can makeyour old film camera a digital.lol

I shot a few rolls on the Maymia 645AF at Loretta's I think it was 05.
Never seen many people use a med format at the track.
I used it on a day after rain where there was minimal dust. Still way to much dust got in. Decided that to much wear and tear to ever use it again. Besides the Canon and Nikon Pro bodies focus so much faster and more accurately than medium anyway. Plus with all the, zoom lenses, sync and flash options the 35mm based cameras are far more useable at the track.

Problem with these cameras is they are slow compared to a Canon 1D Mk4 of 10 FPS or 7D at 8 FPS, they only shoot at 1 - 1.5 FPS so forget about shooting a fast sequence of shots.

No thanks, not for moto. It may have its place but not in my bag. For 27k you could outfit two photographers with the very best gear for moto or anything else. I guess I am practical in that way. Hey, I guess if you are a gearhoung/measurebater/pro medium format photographer, it may be the right camera but very few instances would you need it and would be able to get away with the top of the line Canon/Nikon stuff.
