But let me get this straight. I could get a TM or Husky? No way! Or a bit better, I could get a YZ125 that has not been updated in how long? I might as well go get a 2007 model since they are practically the same bike!
Look, you can live in your fantasy world all you like, along with the other two stroke fanatics. I don't care; you guys have to go on a message board and preach to the choir just to be heard because NO ONE else is listening. That may hurt your feelings, but that's the way it is. Four strokes are here, they are being raced, and they are winning. All dealers are struggling right now because the economy is struggling. It's not a two stroke/four stroke thing. Of course you could give me the name and number of the dealer that you went to, and I could give them a call to verify your claims that all these two strokes are being sold off the floor while the poor over-priced four strokes just sit there.
Oh and Billy Jack why does it annoy you so much that guys like 2 strokes?
Oh and I'm loving all your "facts" if you don't like them or think they're redundant that's cool but don't make shit up.. throw a "in my opinion" in there or maybe an "I think" because your opinion is still only an opinion nothing more nothing less... no matter how right you think you are
For most people there is a price they are not willing to pay, and we are starting to reach that point.
In Sweden the fourstrokes have caused the following problems (and unlike USA our economy is doing great)
The sound have closed racetracks in numbers.
Our sport have gone from mostly ortophedic injuries just like any other contactsport to lot's of severe injuries with headtrauma and spinal injuries. The government has discovered this and they are especially worried when kids and youth ends up in wheelchair, coma, dies. This is not because they watched Seth Enslow on dvd it's accident while racing training on real tracks.
There's fewer and fewer riders that buy a racing license, so they have to raise the prize to cover the insurance, since there are more severe injuries.
Dealers have problems since lot's of riders have quit. Clubs have problems finding flag marshalls etc.
Average joe find it almost impossible to get rid of his used fourstroke. On the other hand new and used twostrokes are almost impossible to find.
The list could go on forever. Not only do I miss the twostrokes out of sentimental reasons. The fourstrokes are the end of motocross as I grew up with it. It's slowly transforming in to something else that i don't like as much. Racing on fourstrokes for me is watching rich guys, boring racing and really dangerous.
Go to the starting line at everything from amateur to pro and you will see many more four strokes than two. Sorry guys, four strokes are here to stay.
He had to buy parts by the bucket,
When he felt like a sucker,
His browneye would pucker,
His Dealer just told him to Suck It.....
which is floors full of 4 strokes with out a 2stroke in sight,
not because they havent been made,
but because people have been buying them.
4 stroke was a marketing success when their first introduced it ( One hit wonder) but failed miserably on every others aspect against the 2 stroke.
Listen to that track owner: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pBDfi5Jl_KM
If the big 4 keep being stubborn , they just going to give an opportunity to others companies to grow up just like Husaberg which was an only 4 stroke biz before now offers in 2011 a brand new 250-300 2 stroke.

Keep on hatin Britney!, 2 stroke will always be part of this sport.
Your OPINION is just that, opinion.
Pit Row
Your OPINION is just that, opinion.
4 strokes are the dominant bikes now, and 2 strokes cant compete with todays 4 strokes.
Keep on dreaming.
The manufacturers bent the displacement rule to give the more expenxive machines an unsurmountable advantage. Large corporations used their influence to give themselves a financial advantage. It happens everyday and it usually is helped along by the government.
The environmentalists got exactly what they intended...fewer bikes=fewer opponents when they shut down your riding areas. The fastest way to shut your oppenent up is to outnumber them.
You can say people are speaking with their wallets all day long...when the number of wallets keeps declining the long term sustainablity of the industry is threatened. Check the MIC numbers and see just how few wallets are talking. You might want to re-think your position.
bike sales are low because economy nothing else.
rgmx-49...dcg141 just answered you useless comment.. 4 stroke guys..lol
I can't delete the damn quote..
Now I have no problems with two strokes -- I love 125's. But your rhetoric just plain gets old and you need to be called on it.
The 4-Stroke's in need of a Trooper,
A couple of guys think they're "Super!",
They're setting the pace
At the lawnmower race
And fitting right in on the FOOPER!
Thank you Cleveland!
