If you are coming south for the holidays to ride, you have to hit up AMP MX right outside of Heflin, AL. It is one of the best new tracks in the area.

My buddies and I rode there yesterday and the track was in awesome shape with a good turnout of riders for a Wednesday practice. Here is a little helmet cam from us riding in the "slow" practice. DISCLAIMER: I have no form, technique, and just enough speed to keep from fouling the plug.

Thanks for posting, looks like a sweet track. I've heard great things about the tracks in Alabama, would love to get down there. 30+ inches of snow on the ground here, with more on the way.

So I've been told about Monster Mountain, and Mill Creek looks great, AMP looks fun, where else?

Millcreek is 30 minutes down the interstate from AMP and Monster is about an hour and a half from both. It would be easy to hit all three in a three day weekend if they were all open during the same time.

Sounds like a great weekend, but if I drove the 950 miles I'd want to do more than three days. Any other tracks on or near the same level as Monster and Mill Creek? I like them rutty, rough, loose & sandy - old school tracks without do-or-die jumps.

Its the best track that I have been to in the southeast besides Monster mountain. And I happen to live 10 minutes from there. In all honesty, if anyone is coming down south to ride, you have to check AMP and Monster Mountain for sure.
