2004 Kx 125 project

My 2026 project is going to be turning this 04 Kx125 into a James Stewart tribute bike.(not a replica) It will be raced at a few of the 2 stroke races here in 2026. Were gonna go all out on this bike, Ill be building it a bit more modern vs era specific. I have parts starting to show up will be posting up soon. Ill be filming some videos along the way, as well as documenting it here on Vital. Hope you guys enjoy and let me know what you think! Also any input is welcome. IMG 5258 3

Here’s some billet hubs for the bike, I’ve worked with Envy hubs on my 06 Rm125 build. They are outstanding, great quality, great customer service and they go beyond for you. Highly recommend. But as for this I got them in their “factor” hub color. IMG 4295 2

Long shot but if anyone knows anyone selling a pro circuit linkage let me know. I’m looking for the full linkage system for the 125. I already have the 125 link arm but I have the ksl04250fb1 knuckle. I was told that that may work with the bike but I would like to have the 125 one. Thanks.

I scored a pc linkage it’s the correct link arm but the knuckle for the 250. I just sent it out to get anodized. Hope to get it back here soon. Still on the hunt for a 125 knuckle or full linkage! Cheers!

Hey Aaron, who did you send your linkage to get the anodizing work done? Looking forward to seeing the progress on this project !

I use precision worxs for all my anodize work. They do great work always. Appreciate it, hope to have more updates here in the next few weeks. Waiting on a replica KHI skid plate and sump guard(latest thing I’ve bought).

Wheels are all laced up, decided to go with the classic silver excels with envy hubs “factory” color. I think it pairs nicely! What do you guys think of the color combo on the wheels?IMG 5816 3

Honestly same, I think they looked clean on sextons bike. It would be cool to see more bikes run them

The actual 125 knuckle is real hard to find. I never found one 10 years ago when I built my bike, I have the 250/125 combo as well. I’d love to know if they are even any different.

I’m in the works with talking to the suspension guys over at pro circuit to see what the difference is and if that combo will work on the 125. I’ll keep you guys updated. I had an opportunity to pick up a full 125 linkage a few months ago but just didn’t have the 1500 they wanted for it.

The 250 knuckle would be sketchy to ride with. Will be 0 free play in rear suspension.

had the linkage done in pc bronze, giving it more of a modern look. Once it gets back it’s getting sent out for engraving IMG 5889 2.jpeg?VersionId=bQ77eV4qa5sBY33i

Test fitting titanium foot pegs this week. Have to do a few mods with them but I’ll be able to run them on this build. These are the same pegs the pro circuit race team uses!IMG 5910 4
