I was in the auto-shop waiting room today perusing an ESPN mag, and there was a one pager on the greatest blow-outs in sports history, listing one blowout per stick and ball segment. It got me to thinking.

What's the single greatest waxing, by the numbers, that any rider has ever put on the rest of the field?

Let's keep the playing field level- a one-minute lead in a 20 minute SX main would be equivalent to a 1.5-minute lead in a 30 minute MX. Get it?

Can't wait to see what the treasure trove of moto knowledge on the board comes up with.

at hangtown when hannah had 2nd place in his sights just a few feet ahead of him...course hannah was in the lead at the time.

rc's doesn't come close due to the track conditions imho.

james leading by a mile on the first lap at gh when he switched to the 4 stroke from his 125 two stroke is the single biggest lead i have ever seen for just 1 lap.

X2...seems most think RC at the mudder, I know its the same for everyone but it just doesn't seem the same as a "normal" race. It was very onelined and he had the holeshot and a clean track ahead of him, and no riders stuck in front of him on the main line. Still incredible so don't flame.

Hannah may not have had the single biggest blow out, but he had may have had the most as he wasn't just satisfied with winning, he wanted to humiliate everyone.

Bob,,,,,,Surely you haven't forgotten that Hannah had ten more minutes outdoors to throw the hammer down than RC did.

I don't know exact lap times, but 2007 MXDN RV looked like he had about a minute after the first lap. I thought he was the only one that left the gate. If I remember right I thought I heard them say something like 20 seconds on lap 1 or 2.

Prove it dip shit Hannah had plenty of wins but usually he was coming through the pack cause he wasnt that great at starts, Every fucking race in 02,04 most of 05 etc RC was gone, Hannah didnt even come close to winning like RC. 1978 was the only year comparable. If you have any other moto questions let me know. Ill be happy to fill you in!

You said it was bullshit when i said that RC blew away the comp more than Hannah he did for 3 seasons at every race, when RC won they were not wins he destroyed them. And no RC is not the holeshot king, but it was very rare he would come out of the first corner worse than 5th. I am giving you reasons for what I say. Its alot easier to kill the comp when you get good holeshots. Thats lesson number 1. Now tell me am I wrong and if so please prove it.

ok, now we're back to the blowout the comp in a moto debate? ok....

yer backing up yer statement with a race that half the field didn't make more than a few laps, let alone finish the race? on a track that was literally impassable even by moto standards?

a...ok, you win.

#1: Han Maisch lapped the entire field at a mudder in the GP's in the late 1970's. #2: is Mark Barnett lapping me TWICE in the semi qualifier at the 1981 Montreal SX Smile LOL To be fair to me, though, I was riding a gutless 250 Husky with a nearly bald back tire. Oh yeah, and I sucked at supercross!
