When we lived in Corpus, there was a guy right across the street from us who had a Kawi KZ1000 and his riding buddy was on that exact same RD350. I loved the look of the Yamaha and always wanted one. Funny how that stuff sticks with you.

Unfortunately, he was hauling down our street on the 350 full tilt one day and a big dog stepped out - totally wiped out the bike and that guy was messed up pretty bad.

My neighbor use to let me ride his to school in the 9th grade, lol. I would skip school and do wheelies and burnouts all day. His was a 400 I think.

Aah, the good ol RD350. My first street bike, a '75 model, was a cool bike in its day. I put on clubman bars, reversed the shifter, put some filters, DG chambers, and automotoive coils on it and rode it to high school for 2 years. Quite a ride that thing was...I got a Daytona front fender, GS550 tailpiece, short seat, ditched the rear fender and chainguard, put some sticky dunlops on it, painted it up like a Daytona Special....cool bike...riding around leaving the sweet smell of Blendzall racing castor in its wake...
