OK, you can't figure out how to get the filter out of your bike, but in another thread you want to waste $1000 on an exhaust? No disrespect meant, but I think you should spend your money on a shop manual and maybe some motorcycle repair books.

i have a manual but i dont understand what it means when it says rotate the filter. i did that but it still would not come out. i only just recently got the bike and im only 16 so i obviously don tknow big lot about it. the filter on my ttr230 was simple to take out. and i thought this forum was for people to ask questions about stuff they are unsure of, not for people to be fucking ass holes.

Get a good grasp on the filter and you have to kinda turn it sideways too either side and pull some, its snug, take your time try to eliminate dirt from falling inside, and you use that method for reinstallment! Make sure when you reinstall u have it sealed on the airbox, you can move it till you feel it like lock into the grooves.

Ah. Only 16. That would explain why you would call someone a fucking asshole for trying to help you. I said no disrespect meant when I told you to save your money, and I didn't mean any. I've been in this game for more than 35 years so I do feel I know just a bit about whats a good and bad investment for a beginner rider on a 450, but since you feel you need to act like a punk I wouldn't expect a whole lot more help from my end.

Im not trying to be a dick, but you tried to make me feel like an idiot for not knowing how to take the air filter out and wanted an exhaust. i figured out how to take it out becasue the guy above gave me some advice instead belittleing me. and i am in no way a punk. i give people respect if they give respect.

I would say calling someone a fucking asshole qualifies as being a dick...no? Also, please point out to me where I was trying to belittle you and make you feel like an idiot. It's not my fault that you are overly sensitive to advice and constructive criticism.

I'm about done here. I'm not going to get into a pissing match with a 16 year old. It just wouldn't be fair!
