Why isn’t RJ the alternate and Justin Cooper riding the 450? If Deegan can’t ride RJ rides 450 and Cooper drops down

logistics,  if Deegan pulls out late then you need a plan B,  which really had to be a Star Yamaha rider,

What scott said. He still maybe needed for that 250 slot. Arguably the 250 slot is the most important slot.

Also the ktm group has already budgetted for a rider to go. So logistically it would work well to have RJ..

I do agree if Deegan were to race Cooper would be the best pick for that 450 slot. Just the cards are iffy.

I understand he is needed for the 250 slot but that is why you make RJ the alternate for Justin Cooper on the 450 and Justin Cooper is the alternate for Deegan on the 250. Basically J Coop is racing no matter what.

Well just thinking her but j coop prolly gonna ride the 250 this week so he’ll be prepared to race the 250 class. Maybe they are not as confident in Deegan racing as they’re letting on?

I am going to get slammed for this but the bottom line is RJ can not be the 250 rider, he will crash his brains out and USA does not make the podium. RJ will do well on the 450. Jcoop is the only choice for the 250 and I believe the USA will podium if he is the 250 rider.

RJ has been consistent and kicking ass. If you just  off the results from fro the national where he crushed it, it makes the most sense.

Why would you get slammed? This isn't ground breaking this is the consensus. Like im down voting you for saying something so stupid thinking its prolific.

So instead of making one change last minute, you want to make two. Got it, makes total sense. On top of that, you want JCoop to continue to train on his 450, but drop down to a 250 on race day. Someone make this guy the team manager next year!
