Like I said, popularity means little. Poker is now on ESPN because of its popularity. Would you even call it athletic?

And, I'm not here asking for confirmation of the legitimacy of my sport. I know where it stands. I'm just saying that sports like MX and rugby require a higher level of athletic skill than the masses recognize them for, especially when compared to other "sports" which have such huge followings.

Baseball is the most overrated sport out there by far.

i will agree that poker is not a sport, but can you explain how playing a professional "stick and ball sport" doesn't require as high a level of athletic skill as MX?

Why do people keep bringing up poker being on ESPN as some sort of inference that it is a sport?

Lets say you play LF and bat 8th. You run out to Lf and wait, strike out, ground out, strike out. Now you have to jog/walk back to the bench, and sit. Out,hit, out, out. Jog/walk back to the outfield, strike out, shag down a fly, out. Jog back to the bench, and it goes on and on.

I have rode and played baseball, I would stand in on any pitcher before I would try a Larroco's leap.

I'm thinking the sports that have a higher all-around level of strength, stamina, speed, balance, agility, and even psychological requirements. MX is a great example of that. Baseball...sure, quickness, hand-eye coordination, and psychology. But, true stamina and strength don't play into it a helluva lot.

JEEZUS! At least he got the soccer thing right.

Nothing going on here...
I went real sailing for the first time in Hawaii a year ago and have never worked so hard. I was about ready to shoot the captain if he made us change one more sail. It was fun but a lot of work.

BK, did I read that you were in Dallas?
How long ya gonna be here? if you make it to this weekend you should come check out our little motorcross track. If we don't get any more rain, it should be primo Saturday.

Now if we do get more, we'll have a primo Jet-ski track.
