I'm against the SX only stuff but I totally understand and respect the decisions some of these young Men make,

this so called "Core" is ridiculous in the fact that people expect these young Men to risk their life for basically nothing but our entertainment.

Isn't it more of the 'Core' believing that a racers should have the same passion for the outdoors as they do? I don't think any of the 'Core' sit around saying 'risk your life and entertain me, young motocrosser'. That's not it at all. It's 'how can you not love to be a a part of of outdoor motocross.... the foundation of the sport we love?!?!

Only a traitor would turn their back on something like that...

Analogy..... Kobe Bryant no longer feels the need to play defense on the court., just offense. Would that be ok with Laker fan?

Stroupe update?
Do you have as much passion for your job, as what you expect a pro level rider have for his?
Even though they love the sport, the reality is that at this level it becomes a job.

BTW: What are the qualifications for being a "Core Moto" guy?

Absolutely, I own my own business... I have a ton of passion for what I do, or it wouldn't successful. And, yes I get burned out at times, like I would expect a racer to.

Qualifications to be a core moto guy? I have no clue.. I was playing devil's advocate with Jay's post. Those are the guys that are thinking SX guy are traitors, aren't they? I personally don't think they're traitors to the sport, even though I'd like to see them race both series. They're just taking a different approach with their racing careers then what's been the norm for the last 30+years.

Your riders do too much racing! They do a ridiculous amount of racing!

For the guy's that just got done doing the Nationals (Even worse if you did the MXDN) they've barely got time to rest before the off season races kick off and then it's back to AMA SX. That's barely a break. You can't afford to get out of shape or have much of a rest from training, even without the off season races you don't have time. Not to mention travelling here and there and every bleeding where for sponsorship obligations.

It's a continuous, continuous strain and eventually, I don't care who it is, James, Chad or whoever, you'll get burnt out.

Can't we all just agree to disagree ? I'm good with it really.

The DF 75 jersey is a pretty hott ticket in certain geographic areas.

Do you have any idea how many years, and how many races these pro level riders put in to reach this level?

No! I'm a fucking idiot.

That's the only reply I could come up with for that dumb ass question.

Post a reply to: is it mandatory to hate on anyone who is SX only ?
