Unfortunately the other day while redoing the valve shims the fuel tank fell off the back of the bike pulling the pins from the connector and breaking one. I was able to remove the broken pin and ordered a set of pins from Amazon. My question is this. Does anyone know the exact pin needed for replacement. I.e size or type. Any help y would be appreciated.
I don't know if Yamaha offers any connector parts to repair them but Honda does.
There are only so many different pin types/sizes. If you had a good Honda dealer in the know close by, they could look up the service letter that has replacement pins and connectors.
Where abouts you located?
New Hampshire. I did buy a connector pin set. From Amazon I am hoping one of these is the same size
Might have some luck with these guys. When I did an led light conversion on my sportbike I was able to get connectors from them that were an exact match for my OE Honda ones.
