Are the rules the same in the AMA and the GP's?

If not it worthless to compare the athletes. I'm just curious so don't hate me...

I remember seeing Townley in good shape riding his ass off trying to catch RC at Ernée 2005. BT finally had to give up but RC seemed like he could go that pace forever.

In my opinion Townley had the better riding style, and RC looked like RC usually does being all over the place but still in control and going really fast.

I know RC is from another planet and I'm not trying to take anything away from his fantastic record, it just made me wonder about the use of Epo etc.

I'm sure there are guys trying to cheat on both sides of the pond, but if it's not forbidden in one of the series it isn't cheating really. Then it's just comparing apples and oranges.

Does anyone have some real info on this touchy subject?

They test here, they test there.

The GP guys can get an IV between motos, AMA can't.

All I know 'bout that..................

Do you know the reasoning behind the ban of IV? That seems like a pretty dangerous rule, considering how hot it gets over there. And does AMA really enforce that rule?

Far as I know they do.
But who knows what happens in the back of a semi.

To me, it's a good rule.
You wanna say you run natural, what's natural about an IV?

Guy can't handle the heat as well as another he needs to work it more.

You're right, it's not natural. I'm just not sure why should it be? The food supplements they use aren't so natural either.

I think I heard somewhere, that some people are more vulnerable to heat exhaustion than others, no matter how good shape they are in. Look at Brett Mettcalfe for example. He seems to be an excellent shape, but always struggles at Freestone's heat.

I've read somewhere a while ago that in some pro leagues in the US they only conduct tests for party drugs like Cocaine etc. Maybe complete bullshit.

Is this correct for NFL,NBA,NHL, AMA ?
