Back on the podium for the first time since February 2023.
Anton had a great Saturday night and went 4-3 for 3rd overall. Included in his winnings - a badass trophy and a champagne ceremony. He has momentum, and knows he belongs. This is huge for us, and the fight for the red plate has commenced.

I had a shitty weekend, but pulled two holeshots and got 4th in the B main on Friday and 2nd in the B main on Saturday. I'm leaving for my honeymoon tomorrow morning in 10 hours, which was on my mind way more than racing, and my right wrist had a lot of quit in it this weekend. Racing at 36 is harder for many reasons, responsibility off the track being the front runner.

We raced in Sioux Falls for the 22nd annual Midwest Supercross just after the Thanksgiving holiday, where Anton podiumed the open pro on Friday with a P3. P11 in pro and a P1 in +30 for myself, then a P4 for Anton on Saturday while I cruised only in the +30 class for fun. (Frankly, the lighting in the building didn't shine well over the black dirt and my eyes just could not keep up).

I'm happy we went, and got to experience one of the longest running AX exhibitions in the states.
 
Lebanon, Missouri - December 13-14

Rounds 5 and 6 of GT Arenacross in Lebanon, Missouri were really challenging for us. 
Topeka and Lebanon are the two equally tightest floors in GT, and though we showed up with more dialed bikes than we have yet, neither Anton nor myself really found the mojo on the small floor. 
 
I straight up could not put a lap together in qualifying either nights, and though Anton was quick- in the races he found difficulty harnessing himself to hit the whoops clean every lap which resulted in several occasions where he became the nail in the corner after.

My starts and opening laps are hot, that's where I need to build off of. Anton is an AX rookie, so playing the game and having a race strategy against our competition is a crash course (maybe too literal of an analogy) towards the podium.

I'm chalking Lebanon as a fluke poor weekend. They happen, Anton is a podium guy and I'm capable of mains as we've demonstrated and will continue to conduct ourselves in such a manner.

What's next:
We're racing the Loveland, Colorado weekend of AMA Arenacross on January 3-4. This is the first time CREO will line up for an AMA Arenacross in our 5 year existence, and a weekend we're looking forward to. The AMA races are streamed live on Arenacross All Access which can be found here.
 
After the Colorado weekend, we're coming back to GT for rounds 7 and 8 in Lincoln, Nebraska to continue fighting upward in points.
 
I want to say that in a world where people can choose to be internet trolls and crabs in a bucket, I really appreciate the people that cheer us on and can understand that the entire point of our effort is to keep getting better and to overcome obstacles. It's easy to look at my program and think "man this guy sure puts a lot of effort in and thinks of himself highly for being a regional AX racer with marginal results" or to have some other critique of how I conduct myself or the team. Odds are, the criticism could be found in a kernel of apparent truth. Why go through all the struggle just to "________"? Because the highest form of accomplishment is found in simply doing the action regardless of outcome or third party perception.

It is not the critic who counts; not the man who points out how the strong man stumbles, or where the doer of deeds could have done them better. Congrats on marriage and the podium. Some larger teams could learn from how you run your program, your sponsors should be stoked. Enjoy the honeymoon.

Anton is an explosive weapon that is exciting to watch indoors.  It was awesome to see you guys in SD and I'm very curious to see how well you guys stack up in Colorado.

Sometimes racers just want to race.

You don't need to rationalize it to anyone beyond that, they wouldn't get it anyway.

Great job racing!!!  Don't listen to the haters, they are just jealous they don't have the balls to put themselves out there and actually complete in life.

It will be great to see how you do in the AMA Arenacross event.  I have no idea what the level is comparing the two different ArenaCross series.
