I have not mentioned any names whatsoever as my child IS his victim. But keep protecting MACK, is what THAT attitude is accomplishing. He will not pay if people DO NOT come forward.

I've learned over the years there are a couple of types of reaction to child molesters.

Rage or denial.

Rage because it has happened to you or someone you know and you are either trying to deal or recover OR find justice.

The other one is the ones that deny because they either have seen it happen, helped it happen, ignored it happening and refuse to come to terms with it.

Thats called GUILT.

TUSCOLA COUNTY (WJRT) -- (03/11/10)--A Motorcross enthusiast is in a Tuscola County Jail on a parole violation. But there's more to the story.

Police are collecting evidence in a criminal sexual conduct investigation that spreads across the country and even into Canada.

They even found one potential victim in the same jail cell with the man whose accused of the crimes.

David Mack, 49, was first charged with criminal sexual conduct, but pleaded guilty to child abuse.

Investigators are now talking to three other victims, two of which have ties to the Motorcross world.

"We understand he interacted with a number of teenage boys in Motorcross," said Tuscola County Prosecutor Mark Reene.

Mack pleaded guilty to child abuse in 2008.

"(It) involved a 13-year-old victim," Reene said. "He had actually provided intoxicating beverages to the victim, and committed acts of molestation hereafter."

Reene says Mack spent a year in jail but violated his parole last month when he failed to get sex offender treatment. When Mack was put in his jail cell, Reene says something unusual happened.

"One of the strangest things that we've experienced," he said. "While he is being lodged in the cell, somebody that is already there identifies him as a person that molested him previously."

A corrections officer was called in and the two men were separated. Two more alleged victims are talking to police in Lapeer and Canada, claiming Mack molested them.

At least two of the victims met Mack through Motorcross activity.

"He worked with the motorcycles, showing the boys how to ride, acting as a mechanic, that sort of thing," Reene said.

A family member of the first boy Mack was convicted of molesting worries about other victims.

"Kids there, they can't defend themselves," the family member said. "They need someone to defend them, and I'm going to try to do that as best I can."

Reene is asking anyone with information that might be helpful in this investigation to give the Michigan State Police in Lapeer a phone call.

All they said is that maybe it's not a good idea to publicly post the names of VICTIMS.

While all of this is a shame, take this trash somewhere else. You constantly ranting and bringing it up is not going to change what happened. I am sorry for both you and your son, but unless you are going to start another thread about someone with Cancer or is sick in some other way, just drop it.

You talk about this guy like he can help his disease and yes, like Serial Killers, Alcoholics etc......what he has is a disease. Jail won't do him or anyone else any good at all. He needs to be in a mental hospital where Doctors can observe and try an understand what causes this disorder.

Ok, I totally missed this thread and I'm sorry I didn't see it earlier. I edited out the victim name in one post and unfortunately I had to delete one of MotoEast's posts since it quoted the post with the victim name.



This is a very personal subject for many people, especially those that have been caught up in this sickening madness and including people who have'nt been directly effected by a sex offender, so lets just try to keep a handle on what we say to each other here. Petty bickering in a public forum will not help anyone in this case, but talking about it certainly will.



pulledit: I'm so sorry for what this monster has done to your child, and I'm sorry for what your family is going through. No human being, and I use that term loosly here, should be allowed to DESTROY anothers entire life simply for their sickening desires.



I truly hope you get the justice your family deserves and that you can get on with your lives in peace. Life is so damned short that every second should be cherished and to have this kind of torment rob you and yours of that peace is truly a tragedy.

It's hard to "read" isn't it? Try living it.





Give me a suggestion for someone that refuses to discuss it (in counseling) and freaks out when Mack's name is mentioned. How do you counsel someone like that? Advice? TY The guy in the article supposedly went freaking ballistic when he realized who he was in the cell with and he was a grown man.

Sir or madam, if you go to the first post, it was not posted by me. I googled his name and found this forum, much to my shock. If I have used this as an outlet and I have, for that, I'am sorry. But in many ways, I feel some sort of connection and want and need to understand why in this sport where so many are kids, can this continue to happen?

I can not fathom the stories told about him going cross country with someone's kid he just meant and the parents let the kid go. Why? Because he looked the part? Had a great personality? Great racer?

Can you see my frustration with trying to comprehend the whys?

I do go to counseling and in fact have been told I need to be a psychologist. That is in the works. So pardon me, I know much about what I speak.

The cursing, I AM ashamed of. I gave it up a few years ago but this.....THIS is just killing me from the inside.

If it was your kid, could you stay away without commenting? I mean, seriously? If it was your kid, the neighbor kid, the kids friends, etc............could you stay silent?

Respectfully if the answer is "yes I could" it is not me that needs counseling.

Minors, not public. The news story is as close to it as it will get. He is on the s.o. list in Michigan, you can view that.





From experience with my minor child, when they have to testify, they clear the courtroom. There is a victims right advocate that stays with the minor.

I may also be able to give you the details of the s.o. status per the judge but is very, very long. Like some 50 "rules" to follow.



I have a source that keeps me updated. I have contact with many higher ups.



Matter a fact, a media person reads this site. How's that for an f y i? And some of you may have thought I was stupid and just running off at the mouth.

Don't know about Canada. Wait, yes I do. He got held at the border because of a legal issue a few years ago. He was with another person at the time, coming from a race, I do believe. Someone could identify it but PLEASE do it privately, no names. Please. Thank you.

Update: Prosecutors Office forgot to inform me that he also plead guilty on our cases probation violation. He plead guilty to CSC 2nd degree on new case. He will be sentenced in August to (now) 4 to 15 years in Prison. This is my last post. The outcome is more than I could have ever hoped for. Thank you again to the supporters.



For those of you that are interested, he did take a plea.



29 to 71 months in prison. Sentencing date not set yet.



Thank you for those that expressed kindness and support.



It's finally over.



I'am beyond proud of my child for being brave enough to come forward and live through all of this.



Let the healing begin.
