Sad deal at the track.
A 57-year-old Lakewood man has been identified as the victim of a fatal fall that happened while he was setting up a videocamera for a nationally televised Motocross event.
Videographer Stuart Keene fell about 20 feet at 3 p.m. Friday while setting up a video camera at Thunder Valley Motocross in Morrison, said Carrie Coombs, spokeswoman for MXS Sports Pro Racing.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation, according to Micki Trost, spokeswoman for West Metro Fire Protection District.
"Our deepest sympathies go out to his family," Coombs said.
The accident happened while Keene was setting up for the Saturday afternoon televised Motocross event, she said.
Keene was single and did not have any children.
He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Barbara Christopher of Vail; three stepbrothers and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Keene of Kansas City, Mo.
