The Saddleback 2 track at irvine lake got really bad and blue grooved towards the end, but it was awesome to have a place 10min down the road. How long was it even open, less than a year right?

I would be all for a track in OC even if it was a membership only. i am sure there are a lot of places in south OC.

I see a electric MX track being in OC before we ever see a full on MX track

Having a track close in OC or even the metropolitan LA county area would be an absolute gold mine!! The track at the Oakley factory got shut down by the Irvine co before it even got ridden on .....if i remember correctly it was for employees and sponsored riders.....there is even a photo shoot of JS scrubbing a jump on that track recently on one of his YZ450F's. It was a background image on his twitter page.

i rode the piss out of saddleback 2. Especially the night practices after work. The blue grooves were bad, and they couldn't really ever change the track much. The layout was mediocre at best.

I forgot they called it Saddleback 2. I thought that track was kinda fun, but we only rode it a handful of times. It was cool to have a place so close by.

Saddleback 2 was great ... if for no other reason, just because it was there for us.

I say you put in some parking, some restrooms, a snack bar, and drag a rake around this one:



Saddleback 1 is still there, and there isn't a house for miles around.

Better hurry, before the dump makes it over the hill....
