KTM ignition/clutch covers

Hi everyone,

I own a ‘23 350sxf and hate it that the black painted clutch and ignition cover look terrible after 5mins of riding. I know its not a big deal but i’m a slow vet rider who takes joy out of my bike looking crisp (don’t judge me)..

So i’ve looked at the plastic/carbon covers but dont like the looks of those and the extra width due to the added material. Only other options i’ve found is the hinson clutch an AS3 Performance ignition hard anodizer covers. Those look pretty solid but i’ll be down $400 for the pair.

Anybody in here has another solution to this first world problem of mine? Is there a way you can paint the oem ones yourself in a better way or whatever?

Thanks in advance!

Have you considered Cerakoting your KTM covers?

There are awesome colors available and Cerakoting is the most durable on the market.

I haven’t really to bo honest. Would be a viable option i guess. I’ll have to look for a local workshop that could do that. Any estimation on the costs? How durable is it, is it something you’ll need to redo every season?

Cerakote is the most durable product on the market and folks here on Vital who have Cerakoted will chime in regarding durability.

I'll see if I can find some answers for you regarding durability.

Cost? I don't know mate, I'm in South Africa and looks like you are a Kiwi..

Here in SA we will pay around R1500 for both covers to be Cerakoted ( + - $80 US dollaaaz)

Is Cerakote really durable? Absolutely. It won't chip, flake or scratch off.

Cerakote is the way to go to keep the OEM cover but have it much better looking in a much more durable finish.

It holds up surprisingly well, I think you would be pleased with it.
