I have Zook 450 I bought with a bad crank in it. Got it from a fellow vet rider to do a 500 aluminum frame conversion. The guy who was supposed to do the frame job fucked me and now I'm stuck with it. This is my 3rd bike now and I can only ride one at a time. Spur of the moment thought to post so no pics right now. Bike is REALLY nice with minimal hours on it. Has 3 sets of plastic for it as well as 3 seats. (former owner loved his toys) I have the crank rebuild kit and the bike has an Athena 490 cylinder as well. Any interest out there? Will have to buy a digital camera to get pics on line.

I could be interested. Do you have the stock cylinder for the bike? Where are you located, and what are you thinking for a price?

Yes Houser I do have the stock cylinder but it is scarred pretty bad. Would definitely need to be re-plated. I heard a fellow a half hour away has a good stocker who I could call and check availabilty and price. I never asked the previous owner why because I bought the bike completely disassembled to do a 500 2-stroke conversion. Maybe thats why it has the Athena, he has an "in" with a local dealer and gets parts at cost. Which is half of retail. I should make it clear that the bike is still in a million pieces. I'm not sure about the price, we can talk? I'm a 2 hour drive to Sarnia Ontario, across the river from Pt. Huron Michigan.

I may be interested, as well as possibly interested in that stock cylinder as well. If you could work up a price we could start there. I live in Phoenix, Az is there anyway of shipping it out this way?

Theres always a way of shipping , it's just a case of cost effectiveness. Man I'm kinda lost on the price thing. Have to check around I guess and see where it's at and deduct the cost of re-assembly? Let me make some phone calls. Right now I have the front end mounted on my 93CR250. Just got it finished, haven't even ridden it yet. Kind of posted it on a whim. Problem is I can't guarantee the bike because I never rode it. I hate to sell it you and it's a roach. AZ's a long way away to fix a bad deal and I have to live with the deal going south after the fact. I try and treat people fairly because I need to sleep at night. Thanks Houser I'll get back with you.

I appreciate the consideration. With any bike that you buy in pieces I would be expecting some small missing parts/hardware. As far as guaranteeing the bike, I can understand the unknown. If you bought the bike already blown then you may not know all that could be wrong with it. Let me know when you figure out a fair price.....

Sorry Houser I've been chasing my tail for a few weeks now and have not been able to deal with that. However, I have the day off work tomorrow so I will see what I can find out. If I can remember. You are from AZ. Are you looking for something to work on while it's still to freakin hot to ride and then saddle up later in Sept or something like that? Actually just got the crank re-build kit home today. So I'm a little closer.

Yes I am from AZ. I am looking for a good project bike to start asap. I ride all summer long, but I just sold my only bike kind of unexpectedly.

Well Houser, this ain't looking good. Apparently the bottom has dropped out of the market on blown up 4-strokes. A lot of them out there apparently. ( Gee big surprise there huh?) Bikes not even worth what I paid for it and I thought it was a good deal at the time. So I guess for now I will have to keep this thing and re-build it I suppose or maybe still proceed with a 2-stroke conversion. Do up a 350 I guess. Sorry brother, but losing money would be a tough pill to swallow. Thanks for the interest. Cheers and good luck looking for a replacement bike.
